Below you will find an explanation of our streamlined and simple admissions process followed by some guidelines on what to bring (and not bring) to treatment.

Step One:

Admission to our rehab in Charlotte begins with a phone call. Our compassionate admissions coordinator will explain the Midwood Addiction Treatment program and what makes it different. We’ll get to know you by asking a few questions so we can learn how we can best be of service to you. Your conversations with us are private and fully protected under HIPAA. Your call does not obligate you to entering treatment. We can also verify insurance benefits for you at this time or discuss financial options. Our goal is for you to feel empowered to make an informed decision about your care. We’ll make sure you understand your insurance coverage and other options to get you the treatment you need and deserve.

Step Two:

After this is a concise clinical assessment over the phone. This usually takes no more than 15-20 minutes. We will ask some questions about your past experiences with rehab in Charlotte or at any facilities elsewhere. If you are looking for help with a mental health disorder, we will inquire about previous diagnoses and how the symptoms are affecting you. Honesty is always in your best interest and will help us deliver the best care possible. Don’t worry! You won’t shock or disappoint us. Most of us are in recovery ourselves and we get it. The most important thing is that we have as much accurate information as possible. The more detail you can give us, the better we can help you. So don’t leave anything out. We are here to help. Step Three:

Once your assessment is complete, your work is done. Relax while we get to work building your patient profile. If we find that Midwood Addiction Treatment is a good fit for you, the clinical director will approve your admission and we can move ahead with scheduling your admission for drug or alcohol treatment Charlotte. If you are coming to us from outside the Charlotte area, we will synchronize travel plans with you. We’re just a 10-minute drive from Charlotte Douglas Airport (CLT). After travel and/or admission is planned, it’s time to pack for your stay at Midwood. What to Bring

State issued Picture I.D (Driver’s License or Passport)
Insurance and Prescription Cards
All Medications (in Original Bottles)
Please supply a credit card, reloadable debit card, or cash for toiletries, cigarettes (if applicable) and other items you may need to restock while you are here
Clothing appropriate for gym
Personal Care items/toiletries: NO ALCOHOL-BASED PRODUCTS.
Eyeglasses, contact lenses & appropriate accessories
Suggested Clothing:
Comfortable, casual tops or T-shirts (clothing that promotes sex, drugs, alcohol, violence or offensive messages of any kind is prohibited.) No low cut, see through or skin-tight shirts.
Appropriate length shorts.
Jeans
Sweatpants
Gym/workout clothes
Appropriate undergarments must be worn at all times.
Rain jacket, light sweater or warm coat (depending on time of year)

What NOT to Bring

Provocative clothing
Perfume, cologne, body sprays, or aerosol products of any kind.
Mouthwash or any other products containing alcohol.
Valuables (including jewelry)
Addicting or narcotic medications including, but not limited to: Xanax, Valium, Klonopin, and Adderall
